About the position

T-Rex Solutions is seeking an AWS DevSecOps Engineer to support the transformation and administration of secure cloud environments for the Department of Education. This role involves operating and maintaining cloud environments, implementing security policies, and enabling observability and resilience across multi-cloud landing zones as the organization transitions from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
• Maintain and develop automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments.
• Write, build, and deploy scripts.
• Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.
• Continuously assess, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services using security best practices for IAM and networking.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years or more of related experience or Master's and three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in 4 or more of the following areas: Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban, Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory), CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI, Containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm, PowerShell or Bash Scripting, Security automation with tools such as SAST and DAST, Cyber tools - Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, STIG scanner, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow, Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate or higher certification.
• Active Treasury clearance preferred.
