About the position

Guidehouse is seeking an AWS Engineer to join our Cloud Management team. This role focuses on managing our AWS environment, which includes overseeing a substantial virtual machine infrastructure that supports various organizational needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering AWS resources, managing user access, optimizing costs, and developing infrastructure solutions using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain all AWS subscriptions and resources
• User Management via IAM console and Okta
• Review AWS subscription spends and identify cost saving opportunities
• Support existing infrastructure and troubleshoot as necessary
• Develop and execute Terraform script processes for system buildout
• Execute BCP/DR for AWS hosted solutions
• Configure Okta integration with AWS hosted solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university plus 6 years of experience OR 10 years of experience can be substituted for degree
• AWS Certified Associate Certification Required
• Experience in Compute Infrastructure Management and AWS Cloud (IaaS & PaaS)
• Strong AWS/cloud skills with CloudFormation, Control Tower, EC2, S3, Kubernetes, and VPC
• Terraform/Github experience is required
• Advanced Windows Server/AD skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Linux systems administration skills
• Strong AWS knowledge and willingness to share with team members
• Good grasp on network/infrastructure design
• Comfortable interfacing and communicating with others
• Team-oriented, mission-oriented, self-starter, highly motivated, adaptable, strong communications skills, collaborative, results-driven

Nice-to-haves

• Okta experience is a plus
• Experience with Azure management is a plus
• Experience with STIG policies
• Preference for candidates located within 50 miles of a Guidehouse office
