About the position

This position is focused on building, managing, and automating AWS infrastructure for a cybersecurity project. The role involves utilizing various AWS services to ensure smooth operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on automation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to deploy resources such as Amazon Data Firehose, Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS Lambda, Amazon DocumentDB, Amazon ECS, Amazon SNS, and Amazon SQS.
• Create and maintain automation scripts for tasks including setting up SQS queue listeners and managing Kinesis data streams.
• Set up Amazon QuickSight for dashboards and visual analysis.
• Implement monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch to track system health and performance.
• Conduct weekly tasks including infrastructure review, testing and deploying Lambda functions, and optimization of infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, SQS, Firehose, DocumentDB, etc.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting with AWS SDK (Boto3).
• Knowledge of Suricata IDS setup and data ingestion pipelines.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
