About the position
The AWS Infrastructure Engineer position at North Point Technology involves working closely with technical and program management leadership to implement advanced desktop and web-based production systems. The role requires expertise in managing Windows Servers in cloud environments and deploying various software solutions. Candidates must possess a Top Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain SCI post-hire, with a focus on innovative system delivery and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Lead systems administration activities to support the development of new systems.
- Build Windows instances in cloud environments.
- Perform deployments to development, testing, and operational environments.
- Patch and troubleshoot systems as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external development teams and enterprise components.
Requirements
- Experience with cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of system design and architecture (hardware, software, and networking).
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
- Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post-hire.
- Requires a BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2+ years of relevant experience; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must have DD8570 compliant Certification (Security+).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience deploying GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems.
- Familiarity with AWS capabilities and services.
- Experience writing and maintaining architecture diagrams.
- Proven troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat).
- Microsoft and/or AWS certifications.
