About the position

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will play a critical role in designing and delivering secure cloud solutions for large-scale applications and infrastructure. This hands-on position requires collaboration with various teams to implement security measures in both public and hybrid cloud environments, focusing on AWS and Azure. The engineer will also be responsible for automating security processes and ensuring compliance with security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and apps with a focus on AWS and Azure Cloud.
• Design and develop automation to build cloud security accelerators and IP.
• Work with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technology.
• Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with major security compliance frameworks by building effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems.
• Implement secure (zero trust) infrastructure in cloud environments.
• Provide security expertise for state and local government customers.
• Travel as needed to customer engagements.

Requirements

• 5-10 years' experience in Information Security and Engineering.
• Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS/AZURE.
• Cloud Security design, operations, and automation experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Documentation of security tools, deployment configuration, incident reports, etc.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Cloud VM series Palo Alto Firewalls in AWS and Azure.
