About the position

As an AWS/Python Developer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in the Financial Management Transformation Initiative. This position involves designing and modernizing applications, implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS, and developing Python applications for data manipulation. You will collaborate with business partners, conduct testing, troubleshoot existing systems, and stay updated with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and modernize applications supporting the Financial Management Transformation initiative
  • Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services with a focus on data processing and analysis
  • Develop and maintain Python applications for data manipulation
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure software responsiveness, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software systems
  • Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong Python development expertise (3+ years)
  • Proficiency in AWS technologies (Postgres, Redshift, S3, Glue, etc.) with 2+ years of hands-on experience
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience working in an agile environment (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a relevant field
