About the position

CGI is seeking an experienced AWS Python Developer to join our team in a hybrid role, primarily supporting the secondary mortgage industry. This position involves designing and developing projects for migrating on-premises applications to the AWS Cloud, collaborating with architecture teams, and guiding other teams in deploying data sets and tools. The role is set in a fast-paced, agile environment, emphasizing innovation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop various ongoing projects for migrating on-premises applications to the AWS Cloud.
• Collaborate with the Architecture team for the design and implementation of web-based applications.
• Guide other teams in designing, developing, and deploying data sets and tools that support product use cases.
• Support DevOps and other production support teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer.
• Strong Python development and SQL development skills required.
• Experience with AWS tech stack (Redshift, Athena, Glue, EC2, Lambda, S3, PostgreSQL, SQL, Step Functions).
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure as code technologies (Terraform, GitLab, CloudFormation Templates).
• Testing and debugging experience on AWS.
• Experience in deployment in CI/CD, Jenkins, and pipeline deployment.
• Familiarity with sprint planning and agile environments.

Nice-to-haves

• R Studio knowledge preferred.
