About the position

CGI is seeking an experienced AWS Python Developer to join our team in a hybrid role. This position involves developing and testing software applications using Python and AWS, supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and contribute to innovative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software applications using Python and AWS.
• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC).
• Utilize SQL queries and manage database objects.
• Write Unix scripts as needed.
• Implement test automation frameworks and tools.
• Work in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
• Automate testing for enterprise-level web and client/server applications.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to provide results with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 7-8 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC phases.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Experience with Unix scripting.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks.
• Experience with tools like Selenide/Selenium, Maven, SoapUI, and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA Xray, ALM, or Octane.
• Understanding of various testing types including functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
• Experience in the financial industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS SDK libraries for automation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
