About the position

The AWS Senior Solutions Architect - Pre-sales role at Perficient is a remote position focused on providing expert architectural solutions and support to sales teams in their client pursuits. The architect will leverage their extensive knowledge of AWS services to drive revenue growth, assist in defining project scopes, and develop proof of concepts. This position requires collaboration with various teams to create innovative solutions that meet client needs while ensuring best practices in cloud computing are followed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert on AWS services and assist sales teams with client pursuits.
• Architect and build cloud-native systems while managing the complexity of cloud systems.
• Provide best-fit architectural solutions for projects and assist in defining scope and sizing of work.
• Lead technical discussions during sales calls and create roadmaps and estimates for clients.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and understand their vision for cloud solutions.
• Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
• Conduct architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for technology domains.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to integrate business knowledge with technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
• Deep experience with AWS services related to compute, networking, storage, security, and database.
• Extensive experience with writing scripts using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience developing applications utilizing programming languages like Java, Node, Python, etc.
• Demonstrated experience working with C-level/Senior leadership at medium or large enterprises.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• AWS Certifications.
