About the position

As a Senior Developer specializing in AWS, Snowflake, and Python, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that propel our business forward, particularly in the Property and Casualty Insurance sector. Your role will involve creating robust and scalable data architectures that ensure data integrity, security, and performance, directly impacting our ability to deliver high-quality insurance solutions to our clients. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will oversee the implementation of data architectures, ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards. Your responsibilities will also include providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting complex technical issues related to data solutions. You will be expected to optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance system performance and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data solutions, including design specifications and user guides. As part of an agile development team, you will participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, while staying updated with the latest trends in data technologies. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that our data solutions not only meet business requirements but also align with our strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data solutions using AWS, Python, and Snowflake to meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of data architectures that ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of data solutions by implementing best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data solutions.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance system performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data solutions, including design specifications and user guides.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data technologies and incorporate them into solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in Snowflake, AWS, and Python.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Have experience in Property and Casualty Insurance, which is a plus.
  • Show proficiency in designing and developing scalable data architectures.
  • Display a strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
