About the position

As an AWS Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you will be a key member of the Corporate & Investment Bank Payments Technology Team, responsible for designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. This role involves executing software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software applications and systems. You will work within an agile team to address complex technical challenges and support the firm's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE, Python, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JSON, SOAP and REST web services.
  • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Amazon Web Services.
  • Proficiency in AWS skills such as Lambda, EKS/ECS Cluster, DynamoDB, Aurora, KDS, Glue Job, Route53, ApiGateway, Cloudwatch, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience with Hibernate and NoSQL DB.
  • Experience in testing frameworks such as Junit, JMeter, and Cucumber.
  • Experience with Spring State machine, Spring Security, and OAuth.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, GIT, and Maven.
