About the position

The AWS Solution Architect at Cognizant is responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS services. This role focuses on optimizing system performance for high availability and reliability, while also providing expertise in risk management and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The architect will work with various AWS tools and technologies to automate deployment, manage infrastructure, and develop serverless applications, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
  • Oversee the optimization of system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Provide expertise in risk management to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Implement and manage AWS Glue for ETL processes and data cataloging.
  • Monitor system performance and health using AWS CloudWatch.
  • Utilize AWS DevOps tools to automate deployment and manage infrastructure.
  • Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
  • Manage user access and security policies with AWS IAM.
  • Write and maintain Python scripts for various automation tasks.
  • Design and implement data models to support business requirements.
  • Store and manage data in Amazon S3 for scalable storage solutions.
  • Utilize NoSQL databases for flexible and scalable data storage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in AWS services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for automation tasks.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda for serverless applications.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management using AWS IAM.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Amazon S3 for data storage.
  • Experience in implementing and managing ETL processes using AWS Glue.
  • Ability to monitor system performance using AWS CloudWatch.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
