About the position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable and secure cloud solutions. The role requires a strong foundation in AWS architecture, system design, and container orchestration, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality solutions independently.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement robust, scalable solutions on AWS, ensuring alignment with best practices in cloud security and infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage AWS landing zones to provide consistent, secure, and compliant environments across projects.
  • Leverage Kubernetes and Docker for application deployment, management, and scaling, ensuring containerized solutions are optimized for performance and resilience.
  • Design end-to-end system architectures, covering high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Oversee AWS infrastructure design and implementation, utilizing core services such as VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing robust security measures to protect cloud assets.
  • Implement monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus) to track infrastructure performance and optimize for cost, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support cloud projects and communicate architectural decisions and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in cloud architecture, with deep expertise in AWS services and solution development.
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3) and best practices for designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes to manage containerized applications.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and CloudFormation for automating cloud infrastructure setup and management.
  • Solid understanding of AWS security protocols, identity and access management, and data protection best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline processes and support infrastructure tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues within cloud environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline, though not mandatory.
  • Experience with designing and deploying microservices in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS-managed databases such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Aurora.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and CDN.
