About the position
As a part of the Product Engineering Services practice, we are looking for a talented Solutions Architect to join our team. This role is pivotal in contributing to practice initiatives and staying current with the latest technology developments in the Cloud and Product Engineering space. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for end-to-end solution design, architecture, proof of concepts, and establishing best practices to integrate with the client ecosystem and various cloud/infrastructure technologies. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor within the program, driving conversations with business enablement stakeholders and advising diverse teams, which include customer and partner resources, on both technical and functional delivery aspects at a program level. You will partner with strategic thinking to drive next-generation architecture on Cloud, AI, Microservices, DevOps, and more. Additionally, you will troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution. Your role will also involve providing technical guidance to scrum teams regarding development approaches and assisting developers in troubleshooting and resolving issues. You will be responsible for identifying technical debt and future improvement opportunities, proposing solutions, and supporting production releases and post-production incident resolutions. Furthermore, capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community will be a key part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for end-to-end solution design and architecture.
- Create proof of concepts and establish best practices for integration with client ecosystems and cloud technologies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and drive conversations with business enablement stakeholders.
- Advise diverse teams on technical and functional delivery aspects at a program level.
- Partner with strategic thinking to drive next-generation architecture on Cloud, AI, Microservices, and DevOps.
- Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and drive to successful resolutions.
- Provide technical guidance to scrum teams regarding development approaches.
- Assist developers in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Identify technical debt and propose future improvement opportunities.
- Support production releases and post-production incident resolutions.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the solution architect community.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive, broad-based IT software experience.
- 7+ years of solution architecture consulting and cloud solution implementation experience using Angular, AWS Services, Java, and BPM Tools (Pega preferred).
- Advanced skills in creating architecture and design diagrams representing various views on business processes, infrastructure, security, data flows/integrations, and application components/capabilities.
- AWS Solution Architect Certification and related experience is a must.
- Experience in web technologies including Servlets, JSP, and XML.
- Hands-on experience in developing web applications.
- Knowledge in web services, JMS, and middleware tools (like Web Methods, Vitria).
- Familiarity with web frameworks (like Struts, Spring) and design patterns (like MVC I, MVC II).
- Knowledge of components for enterprise architecture like enterprise beans is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and creativity in problem-solving within a team environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with additional cloud platforms beyond AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience in mentoring junior architects or developers.
