About the position

The AWS Sr Application Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of applications and services within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This position involves analyzing security issues, conducting application and mobile security reviews, and implementing secure architecture designs. The engineer will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, developing security tools, and improving security metrics, all while fostering a collaborative team culture focused on continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application security reviews
• Perform mobile security reviews

• Engage in threat modeling
• Participate in projects and research work as needed

Requirements

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in application security including threat modeling, secure design reviews, code reviews, and pen-testing
• Expertise in multiple security domains such as identity management, authentication, cryptography, networking, and web protocols

Nice-to-haves
