About the position

The AWS Sr. Cloud Engineer for National Security Professional Services is responsible for helping U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This role involves solving technical problems, understanding application architectures, and leading projects to success while adhering to security best practices. The position requires collaboration with various teams within AWS to deliver tailored solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Intelligence Community customers to design and build cloud solutions.
  • Educate and train customers on cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
  • Maintain and enhance technical skills to contribute to architecture discussions.
  • Work on-site with customers at least 1 day a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience with an object-oriented language.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting, deploying, and operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
