About the position
The AWS SysOps Administrator is a mid-senior level role responsible for managing critical projects in the transport and shipping domain. This position requires a passion for technology and experience in developing and managing advanced technology solutions, particularly in the AWS environment.
Responsibilities
- Managing full AWS-Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security.
- Migrating existing on-premises applications to AWS.
- Setting up and administering multi-tier computer system environments.
- Configuring and fine-tuning cloud infrastructure systems.
- Performing software upgrades, kernel patching, and errata patches.
- Developing scripts for automating Cloud/server functions.
- Establishing metrics and monitoring AWS resource utilization using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Performing on-premises resource backups using AWS Services.
- Deploying automation infrastructure using AWS Cloud Formation techniques.
- Optimizing resources and implementing resource tagging for cost sharing and budgeting.
- Creating presentations to support Commercial Cloud Services (CS2) overviews.
- Creating and managing VPC, CS2 Access points, and Bastion hosts.
- Communicating with the NISP network team to finalize network connections for client VPCs.
- Monitoring availability and performance.
- Remediating vulnerabilities at the OS level.
- Monitoring billing and implementing cost optimization strategies.
- Managing disaster recovery and creating backups.
- Maintaining data integrity and access control on the AWS application platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience as a SysOps Engineer
