About the position
The Creative Writing program is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses focused on Nonfiction Writing. The program offers a diverse curriculum that includes introductory to advanced courses, catering to students at different levels of their writing education.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Nonfiction Writing.
- Develop course materials and syllabi for assigned courses.
- Assess and evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage students in discussions and workshops to enhance their writing skills.
- Maintain office hours for student consultations and support.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Creative Writing, English, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching writing at the college level.
- Strong portfolio of nonfiction writing, including published works.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in online teaching or hybrid course formats.
- Familiarity with contemporary nonfiction trends and practices.
- Ability to mentor students in their writing projects.
