About the position

The Azure Administrator with SQL DBA Skills role at NTT DATA involves managing and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on virtual machines, storage, and security. The position requires expertise in SQL Server Database Administration and the ability to integrate DevOps processes. The role supports 24x7 operations and emphasizes performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, manage and monitor Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, IaaS, PaaS, and networking components.
• Perform regular OS and security patching, backups/restore, and implement disaster recovery for Azure resources.
• Expert in SQL Server Database Administration, including SQL Server on VM, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Provide Azure storage management and Azure virtual desktop related infrastructure support.
• Set up and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Key Vault, network security, data encryption, and related security compliance and remediation.
• Set up and integrate related DevOps processes, managing CI/CD pipelines for Azure applications.
• Set up and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, and related automated alerts based on pre-configured rules and thresholds.
• Expert in Azure Kubernetes support, including setup, configuration, and support.
• Support 24x7 operation including incident response and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Five (5) years' experience as Azure Cloud Administrator or Azure Cloud Engineer.
• Certification - Azure Administrator Associate or higher.
• Prefer to have SQL Server Database Administrator related training or certificate.
