About the position

We are seeking a skilled and driven Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure to join one of our leading clients in the technology industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure projects, helping organizations optimize their cloud environments and achieve operational excellence. As a Cloud Engineer (Azure), you will collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders to design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, and Monitoring.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, ARM Templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines to optimize deployment processes and infrastructure management.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and optimize cost, security, and scalability using Azure-native tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, and Azure Cost Management.
  • Ensure that cloud environments meet best practices in security and compliance standards, including identity management, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Systems Administrators, Security Engineers, etc.) to implement cloud-based solutions that align with business needs.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in Azure services and best practices to ensure the team is utilizing the most up-to-date technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, Identity, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud automation tools (ARM Templates, PowerShell, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD), networking concepts (VNets, subnets, VPN, etc.), and storage solutions.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience implementing Azure security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and Azure Security Center.
