About the position

Brookline Bancorp is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Administrator for a long-term contract, approximately 12 to 18 months. The role focuses on managing Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange environments, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems while providing exceptional support to internal teams. This position is on-site only and can be based in Lincoln, RI or Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity and access management.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related applications.
  • Configure and maintain hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent and mitigate issues.
  • Implement and manage identity and access controls, including Azure Active Directory, conditional access policies, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for cloud-based systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to cloud computing and Microsoft technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a cloud administrator, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, M365, O365, and Exchange Online.
  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure services, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 and Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and identity management best practices.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and implementing connectivity between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
