About the position

The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer position at NTT DATA Services involves managing and optimizing Azure cloud resources to support the medical, health, and scientific communities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can provision, configure, and monitor Azure services while ensuring security compliance and implementing disaster recovery strategies. This position is integral to the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in IT and business services.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, manage, and monitor Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, IaaS, PaaS, and networking components.
• Perform regular OS and security patching, backups/restore, and implement disaster recovery strategies for Azure resources.
• Set up and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Key Vault, network security, data encryption, and related security compliance and remediation.
• Set up and integrate DevOps processes, managing CI/CD pipelines for Azure applications.
• Set up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, and Azure Application Insights with automated alerts based on pre-configured rules and thresholds.
• Expertly manage Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Application Gateway, including setup, configuration, and support.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience as Azure Cloud Administrator or Azure Cloud Engineer.
• Certification - Azure Administrator Associate or higher.
• BS/MS degree in MIS, CS, or related discipline is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Some experience with Object-Oriented Programming and working with N-Tier Architecture.
• Some experience with design patterns.
• Great customer service and interfacing with customers required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM is preferred.
• DevOps skills and experience with Azure Dev Ops Server is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
