About the position

The Azure Cloud Application Developer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications within the Azure infrastructure. This role involves developing both front-end and back-end solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security of Azure applications, and implementing disaster recovery strategies. The developer will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and will be involved in CI/CD pipeline implementation and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications in Azure infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate both front-end and back-end solutions, ensuring smooth hosting and seamless functionality.
• Leverage serverless computing and microservices architecture for optimal scalability and performance.
• Ensure Azure applications are secure, scalable, and high-performing, implementing multi-level disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Build Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and work with Active Directory and other identity management systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, Cloud Engineers, architects, and other team members to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and other best practices for cloud application development.
• Build and integrate APIs across applications using MuleSoft or similar integration tools.
• Act as a technical expert for resident RCCB applications, providing technical support as required.
• Represent the team in Change Management and Change Board activities.
• Document requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and training materials.
• Stay up to date with Microsoft tools, Azure technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, etc.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies like Node.js, Python, C#, Java, and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure AD, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Log Monitoring services.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, API design, and implementation using RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with DevOps, agile, waterfall, and Kanban processes.
• Proven experience as an application developer with a focus on Microsoft Azure and low-code/no-code environments like PowerPlatform and MuleSoft.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and GitHub repositories.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Mobile app development experience is desirable.
• Certifications related to Microsoft Azure and cloud application development.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and manage multiple projects.
