As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of our cloud platform on Azure, as well as overseeing the migration of existing on-premises systems to the cloud. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the current on-prem technology landscape and implementations, and to recommend the most effective strategies and solutions for cloud delivery. This includes designing and building large-scale data storage, compute, and distribution systems that meet the needs of our organization. In this role, you will evaluate, select, and implement new tools and frameworks to enhance our platform capabilities. You will provide technical advice and guidance to data engineers, quant engineers, and researchers on best practices for data management in the cloud. Building strong relationships and partnerships with core architecture and engineering teams across BlackRock will be essential to your success. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and upskill fellow team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable environment. You will be expected to work across time zones in a distributed team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with colleagues around the globe.
