About the position

The Azure Cloud Data Developer at TruGreen is responsible for building data solutions and migrating existing data pipelines from on-premises to cloud environments using Azure technologies. This role involves collaboration with other developers and stakeholders to design and implement scalable data solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices in data management.

Responsibilities

• Uses Azure Data Factory (ADF) to create complex pipelines and activities for data loads into a Cloud Datawarehouse.
• Designs and implements data solutions on the Azure cloud platform, incorporating Medallion Architecture principles.
• Migrates on-premise applications/solutions into the cloud, such as SSIS or Stored Procedures into Databricks/ADF.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand data requirements and define data ingestion strategies.
• Creates technical design documentation in adherence to business and solution architecture requirements.
• Exhibits work consistent with the software development lifecycle, including Agile and Kanban methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-focused or Engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing cloud-based solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, including data pipeline design and orchestration.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps.
• Experience managing Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Data Lake Analytics.
• Experience navigating JSON & RESTful APIs using Python.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or Apache Spark for data processing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Data warehousing technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, or Dataverse.
• Familiarity with complex SQL Server scaling concepts.
• Experience with legacy technologies such as SSIS.
• Knowledge of Load and Performance test practices.
