The Senior Cloud Engineer role at Eclaro is designed for individuals with a robust understanding and experience in leveraging cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS. This position is integral to the Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) team, which is responsible for providing solutions for complex, mission-critical systems. The Senior Cloud Engineer will engage in designing, developing, and implementing multi-hybrid cloud solutions using various automation tools and technologies. This role requires a solid grasp of cloud services, particularly Azure and AWS, and the ability to perform requirements gathering and analysis to deliver consultative solutions to customers. In this position, the Senior Cloud Engineer will collaborate closely with customers, application owners, and HCS team members to ensure high-quality service delivery. The role demands technical leadership, where the engineer will be accountable for the successful management and implementation of customer projects. The engineer will also be expected to implement best practices for availability, scalability, and disaster recovery while solutioning multi-cloud application environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing automation and DevOps processes using cloud-native and agnostic tools such as Azure Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Python. Additionally, familiarity with software-defined networking for cloud-native tools and cloud integration with OEM APIs is essential. The role also involves configuring and integrating Azure and AWS native monitoring tools to achieve observability, performing advanced troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution. Furthermore, the engineer will evaluate hardware and software requests, researching and recommending solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements, while ensuring compliance with cloud configuration management and security policies.
