About the position

ASRC Federal is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to support a State Department customer in Arlington, Virginia. The role involves designing, building, operating, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on Microsoft Azure as the organization migrates much of its infrastructure to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure IaaS and PaaS cloud environments for development and operations including compute, storage, and network.
• Operate and maintain the cloud environments balancing performance, availability, and cost.
• Operate primarily within Microsoft Azure environment, with some support of AWS resources and occasionally on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or a minimum of five additional years of experience.
• Minimum of two years professional experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum of one year experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Desired Azure Fundamentals certification or better Azure Administrator Associate.
• Engineering experience with cloud compute, storage, and network.
• Working knowledge of government cybersecurity requirements.
• Good communication skills to work with end-user customers and within a team.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Ability to successfully complete a government issued background check.
