In this position, you will leverage your expertise in Azure cloud services and infrastructure to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues, implementing security best practices, and managing both Windows and Linux servers. You will also work with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub to streamline processes and enhance collaboration across engineering and development teams. Your role will involve regular interaction with customers, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on their specific needs. You will be expected to create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all cloud solutions are well-documented and easily accessible. Additionally, you will review existing cloud solutions and make recommendations for improvements, ensuring that our services remain cutting-edge and effective in addressing the challenges faced by our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Expertise in implementing Azure security best practices.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server management.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Understanding of network security groups (NSGs) and application gateways.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services and containerization technologies (a plus).
  • Experience with monitoring and cloud governance tools (optional).
  • Deep understanding of Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Regularly reviewing existing cloud solutions and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Interact with customer, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on customer's needs.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and/or technical challenges.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7 plus years of experience; (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, SSCP)
  • DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON or Ansible for automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified - Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Familiarization with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-199, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide.
  • Experience scripting using CLI.
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates, BICEP, or similar cloud templates.
  • GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps or other code repositories experience.
