About the position

The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Azure cloud infrastructure and services for a nationally respected organization. This hybrid role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of Azure-based applications and systems, while also troubleshooting and optimizing Azure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage, and databases primarily within Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of Azure cloud services.
  • Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration with applications hosted on Azure.
  • Implement automation and orchestration using Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and other Azure-native tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents within the Azure environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and certifications in Azure cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services.
  • Proficiency in Azure, with a working knowledge of AWS preferred.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Instances.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
