About the position

As a Senior Azure Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions that align with our client's business objectives. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to significant projects. You will lead complex projects, provide technical expertise, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the Azure environment. This position demands a strong background in cloud architecture and a deep understanding of Azure services and best practices. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's cloud operations, making this a critical role within the organization. In this position, you will be responsible for cloud architecture, where you will design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure solutions tailored to the client's requirements. You will oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components. Continuous evaluation and optimization of Azure infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will implement best practices to enhance system reliability and ensure that Azure environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Azure solutions with existing systems and applications. You will provide technical guidance and support across teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed. Troubleshooting will also be a significant aspect of your job, as you will diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Azure infrastructure and services, implementing proactive measures to prevent recurrence. Additionally, you will create and maintain detailed documentation of architecture, configurations, and procedures, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Staying current with Azure updates and emerging technologies will be crucial, as you will evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure solutions tailored to the client's requirements.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps Pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Ensure Azure environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and manage security controls, identity management, and access policies.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Azure solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support across teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Stay current with Azure updates and emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong background in cloud architecture and Azure services.
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in Azure environments.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex Azure infrastructure issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
