The client is seeking a dedicated Azure Cloud Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and growth of their cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This position is crucial as the client embarks on a global standardization initiative, requiring the selected candidate to help align teams to consistent processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of cloud computing technologies, including networking, security, and application development, which are essential for the successful implementation and management of cloud services. In this role, the Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing Azure cloud services and infrastructure. This includes working with virtual networks, virtual machines (VMs), and cloud storage solutions. The candidate will also be expected to leverage automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform to streamline cloud deployments and operations. A strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards within the Azure environment is necessary to ensure data protection and adherence to regulatory requirements. The position will initially require onsite presence 2-3 days a week, transitioning to more frequent onsite work as needed.
