About the position

We are seeking a Senior Azure Engineer with extensive experience in Databricks to join a risk technology team. This role involves strategizing, designing, and developing solutions on the Azure cloud platform, particularly focusing on the migration from on-premises to cloud environments. The engineer will work collaboratively with a team of data engineers to deliver automated cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions, while also handling complex interface processes and providing production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop notebooks using Python, SQL, R language in Databricks
• Configure Databricks Clusters and repositories
• Integrate seamlessly with on-prem databases and Power BI reports
• Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure cloud platform
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to develop enterprise-grade platforms
• Provide technical guidance on technology implementation and architectural changes
• Coordinate with platform, APIM, Azure DevOps, and support teams
• Analyze and design technical solutions on Azure to meet business needs
• Develop, test, and modify software to enhance data platforms and applications
• Own projects from end to end, ensuring accurate outcomes with stakeholders
• Integrate data from various sources while adhering to data quality standards
• Enable streaming data use-cases and standard design patterns in big data environments
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate algorithms into automated processes
• Review and provide feedback on core code changes and support production deployment.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• 5+ years experience in Azure Development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git/Gitlab
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Azure DevOps
