About the position

The client is seeking a dedicated Azure Cloud Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and growth of their cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This position is crucial as the organization embarks on a global standardization initiative, aiming to align various teams to a unified process across the board. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of cloud computing technologies, particularly in areas such as networking, security, and application development. As part of this role, the Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing Azure cloud services and infrastructure, which includes virtual networks, virtual machines (VMs), and cloud storage solutions. In addition to technical expertise, the Azure Cloud Engineer will be expected to leverage automation tools and scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform, to streamline cloud deployments and operations. A strong emphasis will be placed on security and compliance, requiring the candidate to have knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards within the Azure environment to ensure data protection and adherence to regulatory requirements. The position will initially require onsite presence 2-3 days a week, transitioning to onsite as needed, allowing for a flexible working arrangement as the project evolves.

  • Experience in cloud migration and management of virtual networks and VMs.
