About the position

As an Azure Cloud Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a pivotal role in helping health clients leverage cloud capabilities to address their computing challenges and modernize their infrastructure. This position requires a strong partnership with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the right technical solutions, whether that involves modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new solutions from the ground up. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and Architects to design and develop cloud solutions.
  • Define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
  • Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications.
  • Create new applications and solutions from scratch.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with IT applications or managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with managing applications within Azure.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, computer, and database fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or RedHat.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Azure Developer Associate or Azure Administrator Associate certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare or life sciences systems.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycles and Agile best practices.
  • Experience with managing Containers or Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with scripting tools, including Bash, PowerShell, JSON, and Python.
  • Knowledge of IAC tools, including Terraform.
