About the position

The IBM Azure Cloud Engineer role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies in Microsoft Azure to enhance the hybrid cloud and AI journey for clients. This position involves managing cloud platforms, providing architecture and design support, and ensuring quality service through collaboration with various stakeholders. The role emphasizes automation, monitoring, and support for cloud applications, making it essential for driving impactful solutions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud platforms using DevOps methodologies.
• Provide architecture, design, and implementation for Azure cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Ensure automation by managing CI/CD pipelines for cloud and application support.
• Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for cloud services.
• Collaborate with customers, application owners, and team members to ensure quality of service.

Requirements

• Experience managing cloud platforms utilizing DevSecOps methodologies.
• Experience solutioning, implementing, and providing support for Azure cloud application environments.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud native components such as Networking, Firewalls, Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
• Understanding of automation for deploying Azure Resources and Services.
• Experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for monitoring and logging Azure Resources.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform.
• Familiarity with third-party firewall solutions such as Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Experience with ServiceNow and IT service management best practices.
