GTIL is seeking two Cloud Engineers to join their team on a project-based engagement through December 2024. These two roles will be instrumental in helping write Terraform code as we architect disaster recovery (DR) environments and tests. It is imperative that these candidates also have a strong background in DR in addition to Azure Security and compliance. GTIL's Leap (Audit) Platform is deployed across nine regions within Azure, including China, and each day over 30,000 users leverage the platform across their 150+ member firm network. This platform was built for the cloud, is fully automated with Terraform, and utilizes MongoDB on the back-end, presenting an excellent opportunity to join a great organization with strong leadership. The primary focus of this role is to function as an Azure cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide cloud operational support across all aspects of our application environments. This includes, but is not limited to, compute health and monitoring, automated build and deploy, data backup, and retention. Much of the work is geared toward implementation for Azure Enablement, with other team members handling high-level designs while this role focuses on the implementation side. The right candidate will possess over five years of Azure Cloud and general cloud experience, with specific expertise around Azure Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Entra Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and Azure Recovery Vault. The role requires a strong attention to detail, a desire to automate processes, and a mindset of total ownership, ensuring that all execution of work adheres to current security and compliance standards. Candidates should be able to troubleshoot applications, middleware, infrastructure, networks, and tools, while also maintaining and updating ongoing operations and project tasks. Additionally, they will be responsible for building enhancements within existing software architecture and suggesting improvements, collaborating on architectural design reviews, and driving quality accountability within the organization.
