About the position

The Azure Cloud Engineer at Bell Techlogix is responsible for managing and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role involves providing server administration support, configuring virtual networks, implementing security best practices, and developing automation solutions. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize cloud environments and support cloud-based applications, while also staying updated with the latest Azure features.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure (IAAS and PAAS) for optimal performance and availability.
• Provide server monitoring and administration support for Windows/Linux OS, including performance tuning and managing various Windows infrastructure roles/services.
• Configure and maintain virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
• Implement server security hardening, including patching and antivirus measures.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation and DevOps practices.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks.
• Document repeatable solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage cloud environments as per requirements.
• Identify and implement cloud optimization strategies to reduce costs.
• Maintain security best practices for cloud resources.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, providing solutions and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-based applications.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Intermediate and advanced certifications in Microsoft Azure.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing cloud-native solutions in Azure.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting Windows or Linux server issues.
• Hands-on experience in programming and scripting technologies like .Net, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience designing and developing IaC automation using Terraform and ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience with core cloud services across Azure Cloud.
• Experience developing utility scripts and tools using Python or PowerShell.
• Understanding of IT Management processes such as ITIL.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client and vendor interactions.
• Ability to collaborate with project and operations teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
