About the position

SAIC is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to SAIC's Program, Landmark, located in Chantilly, VA. Landmark is a large SETA program that supports the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), which is responsible for the acquisition of systems throughout their complete end-to-end life cycle. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions. This role requires close collaboration with system architects and developers to ensure the successful deployment and operation of cloud-based systems. We are looking for candidates who possess hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies and can effectively contribute to our mission. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for all candidates.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions based on project requirements.
• Migrate on-premises applications and systems to the Azure cloud platform.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Automate deployment processes using infrastructure as code tools.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience with Azure cloud services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage.
• Knowledge of networking concepts in Azure (e.g., Virtual Networks, Load Balancers).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
