We are seeking two Cloud Engineers to join our team on a project-based engagement. These roles will be instrumental in writing Terraform code as we architect disaster recovery (DR) environments and tests. It is imperative that candidates have a strong background in disaster recovery, in addition to expertise in Azure security and compliance. The Leap (Audit) Platform is deployed across nine regions within Azure, including China, and is utilized daily by over 30,000 users across a network of more than 150 member firms. This platform was built for the cloud, is fully automated with Terraform, and utilizes MongoDB on the back-end, presenting an excellent opportunity to join a well-led organization. The primary focus of this role is to function as an Azure Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide operational support across all aspects of our application environments. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring compute health, automated build and deployment processes, and data backup and retention. Much of the work will be geared toward implementation for Azure Enablement, with other team members handling high-level designs. The right candidate will possess over five years of Azure Cloud and general cloud experience, with specific expertise in Azure Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Entra Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and Azure Recovery Vault. In this role, you will be responsible for working with blob storage, MongoDB, and MS SQL database architectures. You will also have experience with cloud automation, Terraform, and other tools to implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD processes. Your ability to implement, support, and execute within disaster recovery scenarios involving our cloud-hosted applications will be crucial. You will ensure that all work execution, including measures to build, enhance, stabilize, automate, and harden, complies with current security and compliance standards. Additionally, you will be part of a team that troubleshoots applications, middleware, infrastructure, networks, and tools, while maintaining and updating ongoing operations and project tasks. You will also build enhancements within existing software architecture and suggest improvements, assist in defining appropriate operational planning, and collaborate on architectural design reviews and changes.
