About the position

The Azure Cloud Engineer role focuses on designing, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud solutions primarily using Azure services. This position emphasizes collaboration with developers to implement code pipelines and automate processes, rather than traditional infrastructure or systems administration tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Azure development, particularly in Python and Terraform, to support and enhance cloud applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud solutions leveraging Azure AD.
• Implement and support Azure PaaS offerings such as App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
• Support Azure Authentication services and troubleshoot related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues related to network, application, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Apply least privilege and zero trust security principles.
• Manage source control, build, and release pipelines, and automate tasks using PowerShell and Python.
• Collaborate with developers, security teams, and stakeholders to meet business requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services.
• Strong knowledge of Azure AD and hybrid identity solutions.
• Proficiency with Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Proficiency in Python or C# and familiarity with PowerShell for Azure automation.
• Understanding of VNET peering, NSGs, load balancing, and VPN Gateways.
• Experience with Azure Policies and security best practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in using Azure cloud native tools for monitoring.

• Experience managing and integrating on-premises environments with Azure.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.
