About the position

The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for leading the deployment, configuration, and automation of Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions. This role requires a professional with over 7 years of experience in compute infrastructure management and Microsoft Azure cloud services. The engineer will plan, design, and transform applications from on-premises to cloud-based solutions, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and automation of Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Deliver Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (IaaS & PaaS).
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Compute on Azure Cloud.
• Develop and implement new processes and document them.
• Deploy and configure various platform services in Azure such as App services, Web app, Function App, Logic App, and more.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for operations.
• Develop tools and processes to automate manual procedures and increase efficiency.
• Oversee continuous improvement and optimization of monitoring and analytics systems.
• Lead teams and cross-team meetings.
• Ensure adherence to production change control policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or 8-10 years of experience managing virtualization across the full compute stack.
• Proven experience aiding customers with Cloud Enablement.
• Hands-on experience with Azure GUI, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM and Bicep Templates.
• Strong presentation, documentation, and analysis skills.
• Team player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
• Deployment of infrastructure with Terraform modules/templates.
• Architecting Azure Infrastructure environments.
• Calculating Total Cost of Ownership and future Capacity Planning.
