About the position

The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud solutions using Azure services. This role involves integrating on-premises resources with Azure, managing PaaS offerings, supporting application development, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring security and compliance within the cloud environment. The engineer will also implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices and collaborate with various teams to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud solutions leveraging Azure AD.
  • Implement and support Azure PaaS offerings such as App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
  • Support Azure Authentication services and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues related to network, application, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Apply least privilege and zero trust security principles.
  • Manage source control, build, and release pipelines; automate tasks using PowerShell, Python, and ARM/Bicep templates.
  • Collaborate with developers, security teams, and stakeholders to meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services; strong knowledge of Azure AD and hybrid identity solutions.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep for Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Proficiency in Python or C#; familiarity with PowerShell for Azure automation.
  • Understanding of VNET peering, NSGs, load balancing, and VPN Gateways; experience with Azure Firewall and Application Gateway.
  • Experience with Azure Policies and security best practices.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps; familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using Azure cloud native tools for monitoring.
  • AWS experience is a plus.
