About the position

The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for providing expertise in Azure cloud technologies within a small contract team. The role primarily involves deploying applications using DevOps tools rather than traditional portal methods, ensuring a smooth transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of Azure, with a focus on engineering and operational support in a government environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Azure cloud expertise to the team.
• Deploy applications using DevOps tools in a production environment.
• Support the transition from on-premises infrastructure to Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with government leads and team members to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Must have an active Secret clearance.
• At least 2 years of Azure cloud engineering experience.
• 3-5 years of overall engineering experience.
• Azure Fundamentals certification or better, such as Azure Administrator Associate.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS cloud services is a plus.
• Some experience with on-premises infrastructure is a plus.
