About the position

The Azure Cloud Lead/Architect will be responsible for architecting, designing, building, operating, securing, and monitoring the client's cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. This role requires collaboration with various IT teams to implement solutions using Azure's IaaS and PaaS offerings, ensuring adherence to cloud security and architectural standards while staying updated with emerging trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams to architect and design cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Build, operate, secure, and monitor the cloud infrastructure.
• Drive requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions.
• Generate documentation for cloud architecture and security standards.
• Stay current with emerging trends in cloud technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 8+ years of IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS).
• Microsoft Azure Certification (MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent).
• Experience with Azure components: CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, NSG, App Service, Azure SQL DB, DevOps configuration, Azure AD, Key Vault, SSL/TLS, Security Center.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools: Azure Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Application Insights.
• Experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise software products and services.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of other cloud solutions (Google Cloud, AWS, Helion Cloud, SoftLayer).
• Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience.
