About the position

A major financial services client is undergoing a significant transformation of its data center operations, which includes decommissioning nine existing data centers and constructing four new ones. This role is integral to the Directory Services organization within Cyber Security, focusing on securing both public and private Azure cloud infrastructure. The Azure Cloud Security Architect/Engineer will specifically contribute to the Credential Management & Directory Services group, ensuring that the security measures implemented are robust and effective. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive the effort to secure the Azure cloud infrastructure by researching, designing, and engineering authentication solutions. This includes developing controls and policies that govern authentication and authorization processes for the end client. The ideal candidate will possess deep design and engineering skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to a diverse audience. It is crucial that candidates have a strong background in security architecture and are not primarily focused on operational support roles within cloud environments. As part of this transformation, the Azure Security Engineers will guide the client on best practices and assist in the development and documentation of processes that will establish a highly secure environment in the new data centers. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all aspects of the Azure infrastructure are fortified against potential threats and vulnerabilities. The position will involve collaboration with various teams to ensure that security measures are integrated seamlessly into the overall architecture of the new data centers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Expert-level experience in Azure and security architecture.
  • Strong skills in automation, particularly with Terraform and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Graph API, Azure AD Connect, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Knowledge of Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Microsoft Defender.
  • Experience with cloud databases.
