About the position

The Azure Cloud Security Engineer/Architect - IV is a critical role within the Cloud Security Architecture team, responsible for defining security controls and developing security solutions to protect cloud assets. This position requires a hands-on approach to architecting modern cloud solutions, strategizing cloud capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of projects while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The role involves analyzing cloud threats, developing security solutions, and providing technical leadership to evolve and migrate on-prem applications to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Define security controls and develop security solutions to protect assets, data, and applications in Azure cloud.
• Analyze cloud threats and risks, developing security solutions using the NIST framework.
• Define technical direction and roadmap for cloud migrations and manage implementation and technical solutions.
• Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.
• Architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud solutions to meet client needs.
• Lead workshops on technical topics with clients and develop architectural artifacts for successful implementation.
• Engage with technical stakeholders to understand their systems and provide mentorship to technical team members.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Cloud engineering groups, and development teams to implement solutions across various lines of business.
• Oversee the progress of product teams to ensure alignment with organizational cloud strategy.
• Own the ongoing design, implementation, and management of the Azure environment, including testing and implementation of new services.
• Create documentation for knowledge management and provide training.
• Document and create playbooks for administrative/support actions for Production Support.
• Represent the brand at technical conferences through presentations and discussions.
• Identify and present best practices and recommendations for cost optimization/cloud efficiency across the Azure cloud platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Certified with Azure fundamentals and/or Azure Administrator.
• Experience in System Administration, Software development, Design Architecture, and/or implementation experience.
• Experience with standard and assured workload Azure project orchestration/creation.
• Experience with core Azure Services (e.g., IAM & Admin, Encryption Keys, Logging, Monitoring).
• Experience in programming languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
• Experience in Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field.
• Exposure to networking elements like VPC, Firewall Rules, Subnets, and Availability Zone.
• Exposure to application Migration and hybrid cloud environments.
• Solid experience with Data Migration and Backup Solutions.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks in public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, OCI.
• Hands-on experience with IAC tools like CloudFormation/Terraform and automation using Python, Boto3, Unix Shell.
• Experience with modern source control repositories (e.g., Git).
• CI/CD expertise with DevOps toolsets (Jenkins / Ansible).
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines and job configurations.
• Proficient in writing Ansible Playbooks for cloud environment configuration.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Linux and Windows System Administration experience.
• Experience in migrating complex projects from on-prem to Cloud.
