About the position

The Azure Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, scaling, and deploying cloud security controls and services within the Azure environment. This role focuses on ensuring a seamless user experience while maintaining compliance and security across cloud infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to define requirements and deliver effective security solutions, while also mentoring team members in cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Designing, scaling, and deploying various cloud security controls and services
• Building processes and workflows for IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud services
• Ensuring seamless user experience with advanced security and compliance
• Maintaining and containing business risk related to Azure cloud infrastructure
• Collaborating with teams to define requirements and deliver solutions
• Building comprehensive security controls to enforce policy
• Supporting business unit technologists deploying to the public cloud

Requirements

• Solid hands-on experience with cloud account configuration in AWS or Azure
• Experience in Software Development, Linux Systems Administration, or Data Networking
• Hands-on configuration of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployments
• Strong scripting skills, particularly with Python and CSP APIs
• Knowledge of Azure Networking
• Experience with Identity and Access Management - RBAC
• Familiarity with Azure Policies and Security Services
• Proficiency in Azure ARM/PowerShell
• Experience in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance
• Strong understanding of Azure services and security capabilities
• Python scripting for automation
• Ability to mentor and train team members
• Self-starter with the ability to read technical documentation
