About the position

The Azure Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, scaling, and deploying cloud security controls and services within the Azure environment. This role focuses on ensuring a seamless user experience while maintaining security and compliance across cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work collaboratively across teams to define requirements, deliver solutions, and enforce security policies, ultimately supporting the organization's cloud deployment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, scaling, and deploying various cloud security controls and services.
  • Building processes and workflows for IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud services integration.
  • Ensuring seamless user experience with advanced security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintaining and containing business risk related to Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with teams and Business Units to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Building comprehensive security controls to enforce policy.
  • Supporting business unit technologists deploying to the public cloud.

Requirements

  • Solid hands-on experience with cloud account configuration in AWS or Azure.
  • Experience in Software Development, Linux Systems Administration, or Data Networking.
  • Hands-on configuration of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployments.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python, for integration with CSP APIs.
  • Experience with Azure Networking, Identity and Access Management (RBAC), and Azure Policies.
  • Familiarity with Azure Security Services such as Security Center, Key Vault, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience with Azure ARM/PowerShell.
  • Background in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and security capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members in cloud security practices.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently by reading technical documentation.
