About the position

The Azure Cloud Systems Engineer position is a permanent full-time role focused on implementing and managing cloud infrastructure using Azure technologies. The role emphasizes automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes, contributing to a Cloud FIRST strategy within a casual and flexible work environment. The position is hybrid, requiring only two days in the office, and is targeted at candidates residing in the Des Moines area.

Responsibilities

• Automate critical manual processes and implement test automation.
• Manage automated deployments and build a continuous deployment process.
• Oversee Azure Cloud management including Azure Resource Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Functions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Manage Azure Tenant Governance and subscription management within the Azure tenant.
• Administer M365, focusing on InTune, Device Configuration, and SharePoint Online.
• Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Git for continuous integration.

Requirements

• DevOps or Infrastructure as Code experience
• Proficiency in Terraform
• Experience in Azure Cloud Engineering
• Heavy experience with M365 Administration, particularly InTune
• Active Directory and O365 experience
• Strong automation skills
• Experience with Azure Native deployment for web services
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud management tools
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and build tools like Atlassian, Octopus, or Jenkins.

Nice-to-haves

• Development experience, specifically in .NET
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
• Knowledge of Azure Functions and Azure Resource Manager.
