About the position

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Architect with expertise in Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. This role involves crafting and implementing scalable and secure data solutions, collaborating with multi-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Investment Banking & Brokerage and Investment Banking Operations, along with a proven ability to build sophisticated data pipelines and work within an Agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Craft and implement scalable and secure solutions using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical mentorship.
• Ensure successful project delivery and contribute to the development of standard processes.
• Mentor junior team members and assist in their development.
• Build and design functional technical specification documentation and other necessary artifacts.
• Develop sophisticated data pipelines for lake house/data warehouses using Agile methodology.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in Python, Azure Event Hub, and Azure DevOps.
• Domain expertise in Investment Banking & Brokerage and Investment Banking Operations.
• Experience with Agile methodology and building sophisticated data pipelines.
• Familiarity with PySpark, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Kafka, and Structured Streaming.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, MS SQL Server, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of data lakes raw enriched curated layer concepts and ETL within Azure framework.
• Strong skills in end-to-end data warehousing and BI analytics design development.
